Okay, so the past two days were fantastic! Yesterday I went to the Louisiana Renaisance Festival, which was fun. I laughed so hard, my abs hurt today. I also got a shiny new toy. It's a little knife, so pretty. Probably not much good, as far as a tool or weapon, but I don't need it as a tool or a weapon, and it is so pretty. Today, the bitch that has been making my life hell at work got fired. So yeah, good times.

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade did a Rick Roll! I laughed and clapped. I love that song, and it was so cool, putting something from teh interwebz into something like the parade.

Ships: Okay, so, two of my favorite ships are not popular among some people. I love Mal/River and Jayne/River. Lots of people have problems with them. It makes me feel bad when people talk about them, 'cause they always imply or outright say that people who like these ships are sick/crazy. I like River, and I don't like OCs (I also have a thing about older men). I like Jayne and Mal, and, if it's done right, can see how she would develop a relationship with either one (or both). It doesn't help that Jayne/River shippers don't like Mal/River, and vice-versa. I like Casey/Chuck, and anyone that has a problem with homosexuals has a problem with that. Does it help to say I also love Zoë/Wash and Simon/Kaylee, which are both canon? Maybe not, because I saw someone the other day who claimed to be squicked by Simon/Kaylee. How can you be squicked by Simon/Kaylee? I could see if you didn't think it would work, or didn't like one of them, but squicked? It's just a guy and a girl, nothing controversial or anything. Ma hed herts.

So, I live in the New Orleans area. Next week, the Saints (New Orleans' football team) are playing on Monday night. So WDSU, our NBC affiliate, is not showing NBC's line-up. No, they will be showing football. This means no Chuck. I could just die. And not in a good way. The rest of the country gets it, but I don't. And, of course, since it is the affiliate, and not NBC, they will not be showing it the week after next. I know I can watch it on teh interwebs, but it is not the same. I am so upset.
Dear WDSU,
I do not like football. Even my husband, who does like football, would rather watch Chuck. The game will be shown on ESPN. There is no reason for you to show this game. You SUCK.
